Winston-Salem Portrait Project Community Exhibition

The Winston-Salem Portrait Project is a community engagement and public art project created to build bridges and relationships across the city. In 2019, more than 100 Winston-Salem residents came together to nominate neighbors, share community stories, and learn to make meaningful portraits of one another. The public art project, sponsored by the City of Winston-Salem and unveiled April 11, 2021, consists of a sculpture, eight murals, and a community exhibition to celebrate these new relationships.
